Cardstream Targets Global Expansion Following Major Upgrade to Industry Leading White Label Cloud Payment Platform

As part of its global expansion plans, Taunton based Cardstream, the UK’s largest independent provider of white label payment software and services, has today announced the completion of a 12-month programme of infrastructure and platform upgrades that have culminated in what the company says is the most advanced cloud-based, white label payment platform on the market.

Cardstream’s next generation platform offers its dedicated partner network of independent software vendors (ISVs), independent sales organisations (ISOs), software companies, acquirers, platform service providers (PSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs), a comprehensive suite of upgrades.

These include increased on-demand capacity, leading-edge security measures, enhanced DDoS prevention, certification to the latest PCI DSS 3.2 standard, hot failover, fraud prevention and full live disaster recovery capabilities. This is in addition to partnerships with, and connections to, all UK and many international acquiring banks and alternative payment methods.

“This release is a crucial part of delivering on our corporate strategy and readying our business for global expansion,” said Adam Sharpe, CEO, Cardstream. “We are now seeking new international distribution partners, who’d like to deliver white label payments in mainland Europe, the Middle East, and North America.”

The upgrade to Cardstream’s secure private cloud has been achieved in partnership with Rackspace and Oracle’s Zenedge platform. Zenedge’s AI powered Cybersecurity Suite delivers world class resilience from DDoS and other malicious internet traffic, while the move to Rackspace ensures the scale and business continuity that Cardstream needs as it continues to grow in the UK and abroad.

“We’re extremely happy with the performance of the business and the growth of our channel. Our success is driven by the creation of our dedicated partner network that includes 3,500 people selling merchant services from over 20 acquirers via their own branded version of the Cardstream platform,” said Adam Sharpe.

The high-capacity/high-availability upgrade to the core platform brings many benefits to Cardstream’s partners in terms of flexibility and control over their branded payment services. All partners have been seamlessly migrated and are running on the new platform.

“Everything we do is designed to provide our partners with the freedom and flexibility to build a payment proposition they control and delivers the maximum financial return,” said Adam Sharpe.
